Plaquemines Roadtrips

Plaquemines Parish is a great road trip. Just minutes after leaving downtown New Orleans you are in Belle Chasse and heading south towards the Mouth of the Mississippi River. It’s not easy to get lost in Plaquemines Parish. There’s one main road, Highway 23, that runs down the west bank along the Mississippi River and one down the east bank. Once you get on the main road, you simply drive straight ahead until you reach the end, with interesting stops along the way. From restaurants to fruit stands, an impressive Fort and views of the Mississippi River you will  enjoy the day exploring this very different part of the New Orleans area.
